Our reflection for the Seventh Sunday of Easter, "I pray for them" is taken from Jesus' Priestly Prayer in today's Gospel. In verse 9 Jesus, while praying to the Father, prays: I pray for them. Not only does he pray for his disciples who were present at the Last Supper; he prays for all to whom they will give His word and, because of their witness will come to believe in him. We are Christ's disciples today and this prayer is for us as well.
